ROUND HILL
COUNTRY DANCES
Round Hill Community Band
The Round Hill Community Band is a pick-up ensemble of contra regulars and musicians that performs twice yearly for the Round Hill Country Dances. The group is open to all regardless of instrument or ability level. Tunes range from traditional reels and jigs, Portland Collection compositions, classic klezmer favorites, and selections from the Waltz Books.

Informal playing sessions are held monthly to try out new tunes and practice existing sets. When preparing for a performance, the band meets more frequently as schedules allow to rehearse as a group.

The community band is grateful to the work of Mickey Koth who graciously wrote the bass parts and reformatted the melody parts with additional harmonies. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge the hard work of the New Haven Jammers, SPUDs, and other pickup bands who have made their music available for use. These arrangements represent the generous contributions of others and should not be used for commercial purposes.
