The Stamford Senior Center, 888 Washington Boulevard, Stamford CT 06901 is located in the heart of downtown Stamford between Tresser Boulevard (Route 1) and Main Street. It is immediately adjacent to the University of Connecticut dorm and Slavins Hancock Pharmacy.

Access to the parking garage is on the southbound side of Washington Boulevard only. We do not advise making a U-turn at the Main Street intersection, so please refer to the more specific directions below to plan a better approach.

 

Parking: There is plenty of FREE parking in the Government Center garage. The premises are well-lit and patrolled by security throughout the evening. We suggest parking on the lower garage levels as you will need to enter the building on the ground level. Please check-in with security as you enter and let them know you are going to the Senior Center for the dance. You will need some form of photo identification, so please bring a driver's license or similar credential with you.

From I-95 South (from Darien) - Exit 7 - Ramp on right, follow signs for Atlantic St.  Turn right onto Atlantic St.  Proceed 1/4 of a mile to Main Street and make a left. Continue on Main Street until you reach Washington Boulevard. Turn left and the garage entrance will be immediately on your right after the pharmacy.

From I-95 North (from Greenwich) - Exit 7 - Ramp on right, Turn Left onto Greenwich Avenue.  Proceed 1/4 of a mile to Tresser Blvd. (Route 1) and make a right turn. Cross the bridge and make the next left onto Clinton Avenue. Continue up to Main Street and make a right. Proceed towards the intersection with Washington Boulevard. Turn right and the garage entrance will be immediately on your right after the pharmacy.

From points south of Stamford via Merritt Parkway - Rt. 15:  Exit 34 - Ramp on right and follow signs for CT-104.  Turn right onto CT-104/Long Ridge Rd and continue straight for 2.5 miles. Turn right on to Cold Spring Road. Continue straight for 1.5 miles; Cold Spring Road will become Washington Boulevard when it enters Downtown. The Government Center garage entrance will be immediately on your right after the pharmacy.

From points north of Stamford via Merritt Parkway - Take Rt 8 or Rt 7 South to reach I-95 South, and follow I-95 South directions above. Alternatively, take the Merritt to Exit 34 - Ramp on right for CT-104.  Turn Left onto CT-104/Long Ridge Rd. and proceed as described above.

Via Metro-North / Amtrak - Arrive at Stamford station. The Government Center is an approximately eight minute walk away up Washington Boulevard. Connection to local buses is available on the South State Street side of the station; there is a bus stop directly outside the venue. Taxi and ride-sharing vehicles can be hailed on the Station Place side of the station.
