Chart Guthrie With The Fascinating Swivets
What a great dance! We had over 60 dancers, and all had a very good time. Thank you caller Chart Guthrie for a wonderful variety of dances, and for taking such good care of our brand new dancers. And to Stacy Phillips, Ellen Cohn and Gary Wikfors - The Swivets - Bravo! Thanks for all the irresistible tunes! Thanks to all who brought treats for the refreshment table, and to all of you who showed up to make it so much fun!

Thanks to the good folks at the Stone House and North Stamford Community Church for the use of their beautiful hall. The wood floors and stone walls add a rustic charm to our dance.
We had two very full sets for most of the evening. Dancers were treated to a Trip to Lambertville and Citronella Morning as well as old chestnuts like Haste to the Wedding and La Bastringue. Chart Guthrie added a modern twist to the end of the tradition Quebecois circle dance much to the delight of all of us.

A lively crowd joined us after the dance at MacKenzie's including Steve and Betsy who were visiting the area from New Hampshire.

There will be no May dance due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Our next dance is on June 24th with Sue Gola and David Sidman's Elastic band. Keep an eye on our website, Meetup, and Facebook pages for updates on more upcoming dances for the Summer and Fall. We look forward to seeing all of you again :)
