Jim Gregory with Contrapositive

Thanksgiving traffic complicated the trip to Stamford for many, including caller Jim Gregory, Oliver and Catherine, Bob and Tova, and Carol. Luckily, Evelyn is local and was able to open the hall and get the set-up started. Joe DePaolo arrived and explained that Matt Diaz, guitarist for ContraPositive, would not be able to participate. Matt did deliver fiddler Matthew Christian from Brooklyn though, so Joe - being very versatile - volunteered to get the beginner session under way, and to call and play until Jim could fight his way from West Hartford.

Before long, Jim did arrive and called a very enjoyable program of dances. Hurray! Evelyn - our extremely versatile treasurer and assistant sound tech - debuted as a dance musician when she got out her travel guitar and added rhythm back-up to the band. Thanks to all of you, and also to Chris and Bob who pitched in on set-up, and to all our very generous dancers - plus the 12 new dancers - who helped put the dance in the black.

Due to the holiday season, there will be no dance in December. Please also note that Round Hill Country Dances will be moving to a new venue in January. Details will be shared via this website, email, Facebook, and Meetup as soon as they are available. See you in 2018!
