Paul Morris With The Gotham Gals
We were lucky that the weather calmed down in midafternoon after predictions of a nor'easter. We had at least 40 dancers including five new dancers and one UConn student! The dance was a lot of fun, with costumes, musical tricks from the band - Julia, Norma and Robin - and many enjoyable dances from a new caller, Paul Morris.
Oliver announced that we have talent booked for 6 dances in early 2019 - January through June. There will be a benefit dance on March 23rd with Bill Fischer, Mickey Koth and Julie Sorcek donating their services, plus musicians from the Round Hill Community Band.
Thanks to Catherine for minding the admission table in Evelyn's absence, and for driving the caller and a musician to and from the train station. Thanks Karen, for setting up the refreshment table and helping with other set-up in the hall.
Round Hill's next dance will be on November 24th with Ted Crane calling to tunes by Wry Bred! We hope that you can join us to dance away some holiday calories. This will be our final 2018 dance as we will not be hosting a contra in December due to the Christmas holiday.
